[Silver is absolutely not the type to make a habit out of being late, but it's been happening a couple of times as of late. When they were all small, that one time he had to stop someone from walking out into traffic... There's usually a damn good reason for it, at least, and he does his best to work twice as hard to make up for it (or failing that, he tries to bribe him with smoothies.)

Today Silver is definitely running late, but the reason why is rather immediate once he gets inside, at least- he walks in along with some weird small crocodile looking thing that looks at Jaeger with a smile. Does it know how to do anything other than smile? That remains to be seen.]

Sorry I'm late.

[He is so going to get fired at this rate.]

[It isn't particularly common for Wesker to try to talk to Jaeger in person; really, he only does it when he's delivering another shipment – otherwise Jaeger will come to him eventually, he almost always does.

So it isn't exactly normal for him to show up without any immediately obvious purpose on Friday evening; while the door hasn't yet been locked, it's after-hours for the curio shop and he knows it, but then, that's likely why he's here so late to begin with - less people, less hassle. Either way, the point is that he's here, and he's seeking Jaeger out because there are things to discuss, and honestly he's managing to seem even more weirdly rigid than he usually does, which is probably a feat worthy of a fucking award or something.]

I don't suppose you can spare a few moments. It's mostly business.

[You know, as little as Wesker likes social interaction, there are some downsides to not doing it terribly often. One of those downsides, it seems, is the lack of people with whom you actually can discuss things when discussion becomes necessary; he isn't about to talk about anything that this month has been so far with the redheaded child that comes over to play with his dogs, and he isn't going to discuss it with Ainsley because no, and despite Chloe's efforts there are some things you don't discuss with relative strangers on the network.

So that leaves Jaeger, and...in all blunt honestly Wesker isn't going to discuss anything with him, either, if he has any say in the matter. Instead, he's here for one reason, and that reason is Jaeger's alcohol cabinet.

He doesn't usually ask to drink with Jaeger, but if he's going to ask this time it's going to be something they do that isn't in public, thank you very much.

He'll arrive fairly late in the evening; at the very least he'd texted the man to let him know he'd be coming.]

[Silver is early to work today.

Not just a little early- that's not terribly uncommon- but he busts in (along with Aoi the Totodile) a good hour or two early, and... He has smoothies? He has smoothies.]

[You know, Silver's been having a pretty rough week, and he did say that he'd get Jaeger back for teasing him. Sure, maybe he sort of did that already, but Elda helped, so it doesn't count. Besides, he needs the damn bingo slot, and he's kept this damn pie hidden for his entire shift, so there's no way he's not using it now.]

You won't believe some of the ridiculous crap I've seen so far.

There's apparently this entire labyrinth under the graveyard? There was this miniature desert in it with a riddle-asking sphinx who was way too interested in asking personal questions. There was also this giant scorpion I jumped on to get it to sting itself, and after that was a giant wolf with tentacles that breathed fire?

Anyway I'm fine, but there's also a dragon down here so if I don't make it back please take care of my cats.

[Wesker has been content to let Jaeger sleep for as long as necessary; the past three weeks had been hard on everyone in various ways, and the posts to Retrospec afterwards had been...disconcerting in various others, and while he isn't sure what to feel about any of it he's just going to try not to think about all of it too much, at least not for the time being.

So Jaeger's been put up in one of his guest rooms, and Wesker's been awake for a while now but he's still...fairly exhausted, really, in that way that makes it clear that he's not going to not be exhausted for a good long while. But he's called in to work to let them know he won't be present – he has more than enough paid leave that he never uses, and now seems like as good a time as any to use it – and as such he's just taking time to himself until Jaeger wakes up.

He's in the study, as he usually is when Jaeger is over, even if the man isn't present just yet – he's writing things down and trying to keep his thoughts straight, because god knows there are a lot of them to keep straight in the first place. He'll likely be in here until Jaeger wakes up; it's generally someplace that they both know in the house, and as such hopefully it's somewhere Jaeger will check eventually.]

[...You know, he's aware that you were just over to talk to him about things, but this is something like the fourth day running of the weirdest goddamn thing he's ever seen and quite frankly, he wants to get his mind off of it.

You tend to prefer that I tell you when I remember things.

It's nothing important, but I've remembered a few more details about that odd coworker of mine. The fellow who apparently felt the need to play around with the leech.

[It's honestly nice having Jaeger over on the weekends - the sort of thing that Wesker didn't realize would be so welcome until they were actively doing it on a regular basis. He still prefers his space but it's good to have such a readily viable option for companionship, and while he isn't really one that gets lonely easily, it's nice to not be alone with his thoughts all the time.

It's strange, but he can't say he doesn't like it.

That said, he'll be in the study today; they usually end up there at some point or another, seeing as it's a good place to talk overall, and it's also somewhere that the dogs generally are not. They are all outside, probably terrorizing some unfortunate thing that happened to end up on the property; either way, the canine insanity is elsewhere and it's quiet in here, and if Jaeger chooses to join him at some point then he's not going to complain.]

I don't know if you know Guido Mista, he's my boyfriend, he lives with me and he hasn't come home tonight and he hasn't answered my texts/calls/anything and I'm worried

[Silver's a plenty diligent worker, never missing a day or showing up late- barring circumstances outside of his control, of course, like being in the jungle or two inches tall. The fog and nightmares have been no exception; he's come to work on time every day, and he's still doing a good job despite looking like progressively more of a basketcase every time he comes in.

It seems like he's reaching his limits, however; there's only so long that you can carry on with the minimal sleep that avoiding nightmares and fighting through the night in the fog imply. He's passed out at the counter, standing but leaning his weight onto his head and arms, with a coffee at the table and a single earbud blasting music so loudly that it can be heard from a lot more than just his ear.

Sneasel dutifully seems to be looking out for customers, at least...]

[It's fairly early in the morning when Wesker messages Jaeger on Friday; he's already expecting him after work, given that Jaeger tends to spend time on the weekends, so this sort of thing is a little unusual, but...]
