[He's here to keep you honest and also have no earthly clue how to read a room.]
Good to know. It isn't as though I allow most people into the house, much less for a prolonged period of time like this; it'd be more surprising if I didn't enjoy your company in some way.
I doubt it, if only because that would involve you tolerating my dogs.
[...Which have miraculously not jumped you yet, but that's largely because they have been a pile of stress due to the entire three-week incident and whenever they're inside they're usually generally not leaving Wesker alone.]
Just making sure! I assumed they were more subdued because I haven't seen much of them, but I suppose it makes sense that they're worked up after your absence for three weeks.
I've been keeping them away from you, mostly - I know you don't handle them well when they're overstimulated, and the way they demonstrate it is something you'd likely find alarming besides.
They do. Though usually it's accidental, if it's happening to me.
But once in a while they'll do things like biting and then refusing to let go - usually that's something they do to each other, though I've been bitten trying to separate them when they do that. Once in a while they'll do it to me, which gets...interesting.
That's good to know. I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference between them though, so I really do appreciate that you've kept them away from me! It hasn't been too much trouble, has it?
I'm pleased to hear it! I suppose it's a little silly since I've mostly caught up on my sleep by now, but I don't really want to leave just yet.
[Not like he'd have problems catching up on sleep in his own house, but it's safer here. Sure, there aren't any monsters around anymore and he doesn't need to be worried about his own safety, but it's easier to pretend that's the reason why he's over here instead of the real reason. Wesker's doing okay though, isn't he? This conversation has been a bit of a roller coaster, but he seems to have settled now.]
[...Look, he loves his dogs but he knows you don't, and he is entirely willing to ensure they don't harass the shit out of you while you're here, especially since they're doing a fair amount of expressing themselves in an incredibly bitey manner right now.
That said, he's quiet for a moment before he responds to that.]

Well... good! I'd be disappointed otherwise!

[He doesn't sound troubled, he's just saying.]

No, it's not that it's hard to believe. It's just very nice to hear!

[It's nice to have someone to share space with, especially someone he genuinely likes.]

[...It's pretty much the closest he'll get to trying to fuss over you in any way.]

[As long as they're not jumping him they're fine! They can stay with you and not bite him, that's totally fine.]

[He hasn't been bitten too seriously yet but he's had a couple of rough moments with them so far, it's been an experience...]
no subject
...Are you alright? I imagine you wouldn't keep it from me if you weren't, but...

[He seems a bit surprised at the question, though; why...wouldn't he be...]

I appreciate it though, really.

["Terrifying" might be better, honestly??]
I'm amazed you haven't been seriously hurt, that sounds painful!
no subject
So yes, I've been bitten over the past short while, but it isn't anything terrible. I'm all right.

I'd like it if you stayed a bit longer as well.

Then I'll stay! I really don't wish to overstay my welcome, but I'm pleased to hear it!
[It's gotten a genuine smile out of him, anyway.]

[Jaeger, really.]
