Just making sure! I assumed they were more subdued because I haven't seen much of them, but I suppose it makes sense that they're worked up after your absence for three weeks.
I've been keeping them away from you, mostly - I know you don't handle them well when they're overstimulated, and the way they demonstrate it is something you'd likely find alarming besides.
They do. Though usually it's accidental, if it's happening to me.
But once in a while they'll do things like biting and then refusing to let go - usually that's something they do to each other, though I've been bitten trying to separate them when they do that. Once in a while they'll do it to me, which gets...interesting.
That's good to know. I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference between them though, so I really do appreciate that you've kept them away from me! It hasn't been too much trouble, has it?
I'm pleased to hear it! I suppose it's a little silly since I've mostly caught up on my sleep by now, but I don't really want to leave just yet.
[Not like he'd have problems catching up on sleep in his own house, but it's safer here. Sure, there aren't any monsters around anymore and he doesn't need to be worried about his own safety, but it's easier to pretend that's the reason why he's over here instead of the real reason. Wesker's doing okay though, isn't he? This conversation has been a bit of a roller coaster, but he seems to have settled now.]
[...Look, he loves his dogs but he knows you don't, and he is entirely willing to ensure they don't harass the shit out of you while you're here, especially since they're doing a fair amount of expressing themselves in an incredibly bitey manner right now.
That said, he's quiet for a moment before he responds to that.]
[...That said, he'll go back to toying with that pen to give his hands something to do; he really is all right, or at the very least he's far more settled now - enough to be all right seguing into silence again for a little while, at least, because even if Jaeger seems to prefer filling quiet with words, he's never really felt the need to.]
[Once again the silence is comfortable, but Jaeger's never been very good at keeping quiet. It's good that Wesker seems to have settled though, and he can recognize that the silence isn't a bad thing at all.]
I should probably open the shop back up soon. I can't afford to keep it closed forever!
Bluntly put, I wouldn't bother if the past three weeks had been less aggressive.
[He is totally one of those people who show up to work the day after something horrible happens citywide, just because what the fuck else is he supposed to do.]

[He hasn't been bitten too seriously yet but he's had a couple of rough moments with them so far, it's been an experience...]

...Are you alright? I imagine you wouldn't keep it from me if you weren't, but...

[He seems a bit surprised at the question, though; why...wouldn't he be...]

I appreciate it though, really.

["Terrifying" might be better, honestly??]
I'm amazed you haven't been seriously hurt, that sounds painful!

So yes, I've been bitten over the past short while, but it isn't anything terrible. I'm all right.

I'd like it if you stayed a bit longer as well.

Then I'll stay! I really don't wish to overstay my welcome, but I'm pleased to hear it!
[It's gotten a genuine smile out of him, anyway.]

[Jaeger, really.]

[You're not the sort to offer to be polite. You'd tell him if you were sick of his presence here.]

As long as you're aware.

[Yes he can, actually, but that's not the point.]

I've called in to work for the duration. I've a fair amount of paid leave - if anything, they seem relieved that I'm actually using it for once.
