Well, I've had an incredibly surreal three days or so, and I'm not about to consume all of that alcohol you brought me by myself.

So I suppose that would be acceptable, yes.

I will, then, as long as we're operating under the general understanding that I'm still disinterested in discussing most of the memories I've been experiencing lately.

[And he will be; not...particularly promptly, but he does have the alcohol in question and if we're all going to be honest with ourselves, he doubts that Jaeger's doing anything at all with himself tonight so it's not like timing matters all that deeply.]

[Jaeger's life is kind of depressingly lonely when you get down to it, so it doesn't really matter what time you show up. He'll throw the door open a few moments later and escort you to the study, where he usually does his drinking.

Once he's gotten both of them glasses and settled into one of the comfortable chairs there, he'll speak up.]

Care to tell me about your particularly crazy past few days, then? Did you punch more people for bingo?

Thus far I've punched two people, including you; I somehow got dragged into agreeing to watch a delinquent vandalize my girlfriend's property, and then the same delinquent asked me to ride horses with them. On top of several people urging me to seriously look into therapy.

[...His. His life.]

I trust yours has been slightly more pleasant...?

Oh my, so Silver did get around to decorating Elda's house! I'm so proud.

Well, yes and no. I haven't had anything quite that crazy happen but one day I woke up looking like this and I still haven't gotten used to it.

[He places his left hand on his chest, presumably meaning the sudden buffness.]

Otherwise I've done some silly things for that bingo card, but nothing quite as interesting as your life has become. I can certainly see why you need a drink though!

...I would mind significantly less if this weren't all occurring over the span of perhaps seventy-two hours.

I'm so glad you got to have fun for once in your life! It's very difficult the first time for someone like you, I'm sure.

[He'll pour you a drink while he's teasing though, alright.]

...Given how often we've spent time lately, and how enjoyable you claim your company is, I do believe you just sank the ship you were standing on in order to kill the captain. I'm a little impressed.

That said, however, the alcohol is...good, and it does seem to be calming him somewhat, so at least there's that.]

...Well enough. Outside of the past week, the month has been quiet for me.

I'm sure you've been enjoying that! It's not often that we get peace and quiet for very long anymore, is it?

There's a reason I've never been interested in social media. Let's put it that way.

Oh agreed, but it can be interesting to see some peoples' reactions from time to time!

...I suppose, though I could do without the perpetual stalking aspect courtesy of our 'friends' at Retrospec.

Absolutely agreed! It's dreadful. I feel like I can't do anything without being watched!

...The part that troubles me is that there's no guarantee that it wasn't always like that. We're just aware of it now.

Why are they doing this? That's the part I can't figure out. Surely it's more than just because they enjoy it?

This is what I've been trying to say to people who are trying to draw absolute conclusions about these things that we've been remembering - it's more than likely the work of that company, that much is clear, but there are entirely too many factors at play here that we don't understand, and possibly several more that we don't even know about just yet.
