Isn't it just.

I know a coworker of mine picked it up, and I can only assume that he did something with it eventually. Perhaps. I didn't seem to find where he was going with it to be terribly important at the time.

Despite the fact that it was, as was previously mentioned, a gigantic black leech.

[It...probably ended up in the water with the old man's body? He doesn't know, but he thinks that guy threw something in there with the corpse, hopefully it was the leech because if it wasn't then that dude just kind of had a leech the size of a small cat hanging out somewhere, and that's fucking disgusting.]

If these really are my memories, I have no idea what my priorities were even pretending to be. Half the time I think I had some sort of plan, but the rest seems to be based around being as baffling as humanly possible.

No more disjointed than yours are in the end, I'm sure...?

That reminds me - I never did remember how to use knives properly.

I remembered a few things about people I knew, however. Nothing important, to my knowledge, but knives were a common thing between them.

Fair enough, though you can't possibly claim that you aren't asking me through morbid curiosity.

I believe I've been both of them before, in other memories - I know that for a fact about one of them, but the other one was a little more vague. I believe he was someone I've seen in passing, but I can't be sure and I'm not certain where. If I think about it for long enough maybe something will come to me, but for now I suppose it doesn't matter.

The one I don't remember very well was named Jack Krauser. I still don't recall much about him, but I know I worked with him at some point and he was highly proficient with knives. He liked fighting with them quite a bit, and he always carried some absurd number of them on him.

I've also recalled a few more things about someone I've seen before, but they were very disjointed and I think one of the things I remembered may have been coincidental.

I remembered talking to him in a large abandoned facility of some sort. We were aiming guns at one another and he seemed determined to make me understand something that he was going on and on about, but any importance the little speech he gave me may have held is completely lost on me for the time being. Then he called in a pair of inhuman...things that he referred to as "friends" of his and left them to kill me. The fight that ensued was strange, in that it was physically impossible, so I'm not certain that I was recalling most of it correctly.

The other memory I had about that person involved him standing on some sort of structure above me and intentionally cutting himself - once across the mouth, and again by intentionally closing his hand around the blade of a large knife he was carrying. I don't recall much else, but I do have the feeling that he did that sort of thing often.

I was doing things that shouldn't be possible - jumping upwards of twenty feet into the air like it was nothing, taking a seven-story drop and landing without injuring myself at all, being hit with high explosives and finding it merely "annoying" as opposed to being killed outright.

It was...interesting, to put it lightly.

[...IT WAS SO FUCKING COOL, JAEGER he has entirely too much decorum to yell at you about how fucking cool it was BUT IT WAS SO FUCKING COOL]

...It was, yes. I enjoyed it quite a bit back then, from what I recall.

What was it like?

[Huh.]

It sounds interesting, at any rate. Unbelievable, but enjoyable.

This was probably one of the best that I've received as well, now that I consider it.

...I am still not sure why I was so unconcerned about where that went.

My coworker just picked up and walked off with a giant leech and I was entirely unconcerned with this turn of events.

Somehow I am currently less bothered by the murder than I am with that.
