[...You know, if he's going to learn anything fairly quickly tonight it's that while his fear response may not work, something in his brain still does not like the idea of pointy things coming at him.

He'll be trying to move with the strike, stepping back and to the side to keep out of the way of it; the knife blade ends up connecting with Jaeger's for a moment and the sound of metal on metal is ugly, but thankfully it's brief before he recovers himself and tries to return the strike. It's likewise not as hard as it could be, but at the same time, they're still figuring this shit out, so.]

[Jaeger pulls back at Wesker's strike, bringing the knife up to block it, once again getting that nasty metal sound. He's a little more confident now and strikes out again, still keeping his aim relatively low.]

[If you're going to be keeping it low again...

When he moves to block he does it with his off hand, catching Jaeger's forearm with his own and trying very hard to not get a blade jammed through his arm; thankfully the scratch he'd gotten from the bat thing a few weeks ago seems to have healed itself up well enough otherwise that would have stung at absolute best, but as it stands he's not going to pay it any mind and try for another hit while Jaeger's blade hand is occupied.]

[He makes an annoyed noise at that, but by the time he manages to pull back it's already too late, the blade's cut into his clothes, though it hasn't gone deep enough to actually injure him. He doesn't aim low again this time, but he's prepared for Wesker to try to stop him with his off hand.]

[...We are really bad at this, it's a little impressive - ]

I assume I'm going to owe you for that, once we're done with this.

[You know, the clothing damage - ah, god, the sound of metal on metal is hideous but he'll be using the knife to block Jaeger's strike this time, at least.]

You are! I won't let you forget it!

[We really are bad at this, but at least he's enthusiastic about it?? Have another strike, aimed high this time.]

[It's nowhere near the sort of jump in skill that would imply that he's remembered something - far from, actually - but Wesker's level of comfort with this is really obviously working itself up from when they'd first started; he's not good by any means but the enthusiasm is there, at the very least.

He'll pull back to avoid getting slashed in the face, but coming in high means that he can try to catch Jaeger's wrist at least, while aiming lower himself.]

[He's ready for it this time, letting himself be caught and countering by catching Wesker's other hand before he can hit again. Jaeger struggles to pull himself free from Wesker's grip and put some distance between them so he has a moment to catch his breath. He seems to be enjoying himself, though!]

[Jaeger will be able to break away eventually, though Wesker immediately uses the opportunity to try to shove him off - distance seems like a good idea, honestly, as does catching his breath.

...This is actually really fun, isn't it?]

Well, you seem to be enjoying yourself.

[It is! He's grinning as he puts some distance between them.]

Ja, I am! You seem to be enjoying yourself as well! I take it you haven't remembered anything yet?

[He doesn't sound too bothered by that just yet, however.]

This is enjoyable, however, either way.

It is! Still, I hope you remember before you ruin my clothes any further!

[He'll strike again, aiming low this time.]

[...You're an asshole. Why are you such an asshole.

He'll jerk back before the knife manages to catch him properly - though it does catch his suit jacket, so nice job tearing it there, hero. That said, he seems content dodging it for now rather than trying to block; come at him when he's expecting it this time.]

[You're welcome, now we match! He'll aim another strike for Wesker's side this time.]

[And that's another one that he's going to try to block with his forearm, hitting Jaeger's arm away from him with his off hand and shifting the blade in his good one, switching it around so that it's lying underhand, the blade flush against his arm to discourage Jaeger from doing the same to him.

...And proceeding to try to slash at him anyway because he is likewise a total asshole, um.]

[Jaeger's staggered by that, it takes him a moment to recover and by the time he does Wesker's coming at him with the knife. He moves to block it but this time he's not so lucky - the blade catches him hard in the left palm. Jaeger pulls back immediately, gasping loudly and dropping the knife to grab at his hand.]

[That's... Well, that certainly is, all right, though it takes him a moment to register what happened; he's quick to lower and sheathe the blade, at least, the knife disappearing quickly back under his coat where he tends to keep it, and when he approaches his movements are quick, professional.]

Let me see it.

[There's a weird blankness to his tone when he says it, but at least he's asking in the first place.]

[He winces a bit as he holds out his hand to let Wesker take a look at the cut. It's not deep enough to cause any permanent damage, but it's definitely not a light scratch either. It's going to take some time to heal and right now it's looking pretty ugly.]

Ah, here, let me try to get my glove off...

[Or what's left of it, anyway. Give him a moment to get that off, wincing as he carefully gets the glove off over the injury.]

[...All right. You're probably not going to like doing this, but - ]

...Given that the glove is already damaged, take it and use it to stem the bleeding a bit.

[And he'll just...move to leave the room, calling back a request as he does so.]

Come upstairs with me. I should be able to take care of it well enough here.

Ja, ja.

[He'll hold the ruined glove to the injury to help with the bleeding. He'll follow Wesker once he's done with that.]

Thank you. I should've been more careful.

Honestly, I don't know what we expected.

[Other than not this, apparently, for some reason?]

Wait in my room. Wash your hand out as best you can, and then just sit on the bed and try not to bleed on it.

[Master bedroom, attached bathroom, all that fun shit. Knock yourself out while he obtains things.]

We should have expected this, honestly...

[He sighs but he nods at Wesker's other statements, heading toward the master bedroom to take care of his hand as best he can. The water stings a bit but he does a good job washing the blood off before returning to Wesker's room to wait on the bed. He's careful to make sure he doesn't bleed on the bed too while he waits, alright.]

[Thank you for not bleeding all over his bed. That would be awkward.

Wesker does, however, return quickly enough, bringing what looks like an entire damn medkit with him.]

I imagine you don't want me to try stitches, but I have a few other things that should work well enough.

[...Give him your hand, all right, let him work on it.]

[He holds out his hand for Wesker to take.]

[...Well, the disinfectant he's going to need to put on this (once he's laid down like eighty towels to make sure this won't get on his fucking bed) is likely going to sting like a bitch and he's sure as shit not going to warn you, for starters.]

[You know, the injury. And the disinfectant. And his shit bedside manner, probably.]
