Not having a choice doesn't make it any easier. If anything, it makes it more difficult in some ways, because now handling it is a necessity rather than something that we can simply walk away from if we so choose.

I believe you when you tell me that you'll work through it. But if it becomes overwhelming or you need someone to speak to about all of this, I'll listen.

...Thank you. I really appreciate it. I'll try my best to work through it without having some kind of meltdown, but I suppose I can't really guarantee anything!

And I can't guarantee I'll know what to do in that sort of situation. But I suppose we'll sort it out if it happens.

Hopefully it won't! I'd prefer not to go through anything like that, obviously!

[He was mostly joking about it but honestly he wouldn't be surprised if his memories were bad enough to cause a breakdown of some kind. He's not regaining the same kinds of memories Wesker is, but he's not nearly as strong as Wesker.]

Trust me, it's not something I would wish on you, either.

[He really does believe that Jaeger will work through it, though; if anything, he's not sure what to do with Jaeger's assertions that he's a strong person like that. He knows that he isn't weak-willed, surely, but he's got no idea what Jaeger's even looking at otherwise.]

[He settles a little though, resting his chin on his hand.]

...I really do think I'll be fine, though it may take awhile for me to get used to all of this.

[Primarily the fact that these are his memories, but he's still not comfortable admitting that out loud.]

It's just a lot to take in for the time being, I suppose. But it's as we've said - there's no sense in overreacting.

You're right. Overreacting won't get us anywhere and we don't know everything there is to know about our situation yet. Jumping to conclusions will only make things worse, ja?

Despite how things were worded with regards to all of that, even if those are our memories I don't want to think that we have no choice but to become the people that we were, either. Circumstances are different here; things have changed for us.

That's very true. Even if those are our memories, we've been shaped into very different people by the lives we've led here. That's definitely worth remembering.

[He doesn't want to forget that. He's not a warmongerer and he's not dead, even if his memories have claimed otherwise.]

It's something I'm going to have to try to keep in mind as well. But I think it should help, if nothing else.

It has been awhile, hasn't it? Goodness, I really am slipping. If I'm not careful I might forget to act in front of other people and wouldn't that be a disaster?
