...I want you to know my stance on things before it becomes an issue. So that it isn't something that needs to be questioned, and so uncertainty won't influence your decision any. I dislike the idea of blindsiding you - that's why I explained the way that so many of my interpersonal relationships are temporary, as well. That isn't a habit you should be unaware of.
This is something else along those lines. I want you to know that I understand that this may be a decision that you come to eventually, that's all.
