[It's quiet, but it's entirely genuine.]

Out of everything in my life, you mean the most to me. I don't ever want you to have reason to question that.

[It gets him to laugh, though the sound is almost breathless.]

I feel the same way, you know. I'm so happy with my life the way it is right now, even with Retrospec's interference. You don't have to worry about that; you make me happier than I ever could have imagined being.

[...That's...it feels nice, honestly, but perhaps more to the point it feels like anything at all; his emotions have still been incredibly off, incredibly muted, but this is actually registering as feeling like something and for a moment he's quiet, just letting himself experience it.

It's all a bit much, but he doesn't pull away, even if he's feeling sort of overstimulated again; rather, he does the opposite, letting the hand in Jaeger's hair drift back a bit to find the back of his head, the base of his neck, for the sake of pulling him forward and kissing him.

It isn't prolonged; he doesn't let it linger, and the gesture itself isn't terribly deep. But it is soft, and it's affectionate enough, and that sort of thing isn't something he initiates most of the time. But he'll do it today, even if he pulls away after a brief while; he wants to act on the feeling while he has it.]

[Jaeger wasn't exactly expecting that and it shows, but he's quick to get over his momentary surprise and return the kiss before Wesker pulls back. His expression is bright as usual; it's honest in a way he usually only reserves for Wesker.]

I...

[The words he wants aren't coming so he settles for shaking his head, though he doesn't look too put off by it today. Instead he grips Wesker's hand tighter; please don't let go just yet.]

[He goes back to running his hand through Jaeger's hair, the gesture soft.]

I know you do.

[He doesn't need to hear it, he knows.]

You always make sure I know.

[That gets another breathless laugh from him.]

I'm so glad. One of these days I'll get the words out properly, I swear. But I'm so glad that you know. I'm so happy it's obvious.

Good. I'd be really upset if I had! You're so important to me, Albert. I'm so happy we can just spend time together like this.

I am happy. Just spending time with you is good enough for me, though if there's anything in particular you want to do while we're here, I certainly wouldn't mind accompanying you.

...Bluntly put, I would be content not seeing another human being outside of you for the next several hours, save for those at the waffle house later. I did receive a text from Shuji, but I told him I can meet with him in the morning.

I need to meet up with him at some point as well. But that can wait until tomorrow! We can spend the day here, away from everyone.

[He's not tired of being around people, but he absolutely understands why Wesker would be.]

[he's still sort of a recluse... a little less so nowadays, but for the most part, yeah...]

Don't worry, I won't drag you out anywhere besides the waffle house. I promise.

[He shifts a bit, then, disengaging his hand from where Jaeger's been holding onto it and pulling away, letting the other slide out of Jaeger's hair as he does so; it's been...easier while they've been discussing this, but now that he's had time to settle the whole thing is slowly starting to bother him again, that strange sense of disgust creeping back into him slowly, and he wants to break contact before he can think about it for too long.]

[Jaeger tries not to look too disappointed when Wesker pulls away; he understands why Wesker's having problems with this and it must be incredibly difficult. He settles back into his seat easily enough.]

Of course. I wouldn't want to make you too uncomfortable.

[That's still light, though.]

[He's quiet for a moment after that's out there, though. Considering.]

I don't like having to admit that I need help with anything. It's always been pointless doing that, anyway, in my experience.

But I do think I need your help with this. It's not something I know what to do with on my own.

It's difficult to ask for help, ja? I've never been fond of it either.

[He's never really found it pointless, but he thinks he understands anyway.]
