[Jaeger barely registers that Wesker's moved to stop the poker, but suddenly he's hitting something really goddamn hard and all he can really do is stare, both at the bent poker and Wesker's arm like he's having trouble putting two and two together and coming up with four.]

...That's incredible.

[He pulls the poker back to examine where it's bent, then looks to Wesker's arm as if to double check that there's no damage there. He really is remarkably durable, isn't he? He had no reason to doubt Wesker's words before, but seeing it in action...]

No wonder you're so confident that you won't be hurt. That's... I really don't have words for how amazing that is.

It's all like that, you know. The powers I've been able to use so far... They're all like that.

[He usually doesn't sound this excited about anything; either way, he's clearly pleased with this much, as far as the virus goes.]

[Fire is still something to look out for, but apparently Wesker can tank physical hits like this. Damn, that really is impressive.]

It's as I've been telling you - I don't think I can die. Not to anything we have to worry about here, at any rate.

[He still seriously hates the actual undead thing, but this part of it is so fucking cool, Jaeger.]

Just remember that if something happens - if we get separated, or if we get into a fight against something. Nothing can hurt me. Even bullets just break skin, they don't do any actual damage.

And if anything, it feels...good, using my abilities like that. I enjoy it.

I'm glad you do, since I'm sure you'll get a chance to show that off when we return. I think I'll worry less now that I've seen it in action. It really is impressive.

It's not perfect, which is why I do still need to test it in some ways. But that can wait until we've returned and had some time away from all of that.

That was the fight that ended in the loss of my left eye. I'll take the victories that I can.

It happened quickly, for what it's worth - a pipe of some sort burst near my head, it sparked a blast of flame somehow that hit me in the face. There wasn't a lot of pain involved, though. I know that.

As far as I'm concerned, fighting should be fun!

It was something I genuinely enjoyed back then; there weren't many things, but most of my better memories were centered around it.
