[That gets a barely-contained laugh. Jaeger drops his hands and looks up with a grin.]

No, I don't. I can't really complain about being teased! It's a bit embarrassing, but it's nice.

I don't do it all that often, besides.

[It's easy, though; this is...it's nice, okay. He shifts a bit where he's sitting, but ultimately he doesn't pull away from Jaeger any.]

I do! It might fluster me a bit, but I really do enjoy it. Usually I prefer to be on the other side, though...!

[He laughs again and settles back against Wesker. This is really nice...]

[From the sound of it, he doesn't mind. But god, he's noticed.]

Of course not! This is reserved for you, so I suppose you're the only person allowed to call me cute.

[He sounds amused, at least; this gives him something to think about that isn't the contact or what he's supposed to feel about it, and some of the tension seems to leave him slowly as he settles back a bit more fully.]

...I needed this, I think. Being back here and away from everything for a while.

It has been a little much, hasn't it?

[He's tired and relieved to be back home even if it is just for the day.]

It has. It isn't as hard on me as it was last time, thankfully enough. But it is a bit much, yes.

[He hasn't had any sort of anxious breaks where he's needed to be away from people, and he's been speaking surprisingly well given how he usually responds to stress. But it's kind of been a lot.]

Last time was certainly worse overall. I'm glad this isn't a repeat of that.

...It's good that we're together in the same area this time.

It is! I would hate to imagine how much time I'd spend worrying if we weren't!
