If it's bothering you, then it's certainly not pointless. We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, though.

[He doesn't mind, per se? But he isn't sure what there is to discuss, precisely.]

Well... Are you afraid you're going to start treating people like that again? I suppose we could start there.

[He isn't altogether sure how to articulate exactly what it is, which is frustrating, but that's a start.]

It's difficult to explain.

I think it's more to do with the fact that I didn't see anything wrong with it, when I was doing it. I was aware that she was suffering, and that she didn't want any of that; I simply didn't care because I wanted to keep her for myself.

There wasn't any reason to do that to her. It wasn't an experiment for something that I was going to implement later, or part of a larger plan. I didn't even have any sort of animosity toward her; it was entirely toward Chris. It was just something I decided to do because I didn't want to get rid of her and I could do that to her.

[He thinks he does, anyway. He can certainly understand why that would fuck Wesker up. There wasn't even really a purpose behind it...]

I can't imagine you ever getting to a point where you're like that, but I think I can understand the concern.

What makes you so sure that I won't?

You're very concerned about it, ja? You'd first have to get to a point where you aren't concerned about doing something like that to the people you care about, and I have a very hard time imagining a situation where that could ever occur. These memories weigh heavily on you and you don't want to be that person in them. I don't believe you'll ever act like he has.

[And that's...blank, really, oddly so; he doesn't seem like he wants to argue it, per se, but he also doesn't seem like he can agree readily, either.]

I meant what I told you earlier this month; you don't have to worry about me. I'll be all right. It's just difficult for the time being.

I know. And I also know you'll make it through this. I'll still worry about you anyway, but I'm not any more worried than usual, if that makes sense.
