It depends on what's being discussed. But it does come up fairly often when memories or past lives are brought up; people are curious about it, and I don't fault them for it.

No, it doesn't. It's not the sort of thing I would do, but I've never been very good about being open with people.

Neither have I. But when it comes to things like this...it strikes me as something that people have the right to know, for several reasons.

But tell me, what are those reasons?

...Primarily, it's to ensure that anything of the sort doesn't happen again. If people know that I'm predisposed to doing things like that, perhaps they'll be more vigilant about preventing it. Besides, it's decidedly more difficult to stab people in the back if they see it coming.

[He's fairly sure Jaeger won't care for that wording, regarding predisposition and possibly stabbing people in the back, but it is what it is and bluntly put he doesn't trust himself.]

I also don't think it's fair to allow people to interact with someone like that without knowing. It doesn't seem right to me, given what others have been dealing with in their memories.

[You're right, he doesn't like it. But he doesn't say anything about it either, since he understands what Wesker's trying to say even if he doesn't agree with it.]

I think that's fair, yes. It's probably a good thing that you're so honest about it. I don't think I could ever manage that.

[But sometimes necessity forces you to do things you're not exactly comfortable with, he gets that.]

...I'm trying to do what I can to keep myself from harming people. I know you say that the concern is a good thing, but I don't know if all of this is going to be enough.

[He rather pointedly isn't making eye contact again.]

It's such a pointless thing to be concerned about, isn't it? After all, it's my choice, in the end. It's not as though it's something I can't keep myself from doing.

But it's something I can't shake off, either. Thoughts like that are always there, as is the notion that this isn't enough.

I still think it will be enough. But that doesn't mean I think the concern is pointless. You're worried about it, so of course it's not pointless. With that said... I can't say I fully understand it, because I don't. But I'm doing my best to try to see where you're coming from and I think that makes sense.

[He just...shakes his head after a moment.]

It's okay if you don't! You're doing what you think is best to help prevent anything of the sort from happening again, and I think that's important.

No, I... It's something I should know, ja? I really do think it's important that you're doing what you can right now, but that's...

[Worrying? Very concerning? Hell, he doesn't know how to finish that, so instead he lets it trail off.]

I still haven't been experiencing much, as emotions go. It comes and goes; some things are easier than others. But it hasn't been normal, either.

If there's ever anything I can do to help, let me know. But... I sort of doubt there's much I can do to help with something like this...

Being around you helps, sometimes. But for the time being, it is what it is.

It may be a bit difficult for me, but I'm sure it's even worse for you! I'm just frustrated that there's nothing I can do to help. I know that's just the way it is, though.
