I see what you mean, however, regarding rational fear responses and how strange they seem when you don't see a reason to be having one. These were things that could be defeated with a little cleverness and enough power, so in the end it was fun for me. My companion...not so much.
We did. The first one was by way of mace and a taser, the rest were a makeshift flamethrower using a lighter instead. I also have a broadsword that was used to put them out of their misery.
I'm sure you'll remember soon! Though it still won't be easy until you have the strength to use it. I don't remember seeing you fight otherwise I'd tell you a bit more about what you could expect.
Honestly, the strength was the biggest problem I had with it - really, I have no idea how I made things seem so easy in my memories. Actually figuring out what to do with it wasn't terribly hard, but that stupid thing feels like it weighs about as much as I do.
Well, here's hoping that doesn't happen anytime soon. On the one hand, I'm sure that would be nice in a practical sense; on the other, I'm doing fine as things are.
It hasn't. The chimeras were only in this one particular area of the subway tunnels, and they seemed to be serving as a deterrent. They're guarding something.
[There's another photo that accompanies the words quickly enough - a simple photograph of that silver door at the end.
The city officials are all missing; that's why we're down here in the first place. My companion wanted to try to find them, or at least find answers as to their whereabouts, and we ended up here. We think it's likely that they're in this area, but we can't be sure.
I don't like it. I don't like feeling like my every action is being watched, and they've certainly done a good job of making it sound like it is. It's frustrating, really. They weren't very clear about what they were looking for in the message I received.

It certainly looks that way! Where did you find those things, anyway?

Really? And you found those things at the end of it? Well, congratulations on your victory!
[That's not sarcastic...]

So how did you take those things out? It looks like you set them on fire?

...Extremely cathartic, granted. But terrible.

[...knocked over by a strong breeze but fine.]

With that said, how are you doing? I trust the city hasn't burned down in our absence?
[Like. He wouldn't be surprised given Retrospec, but hopefully that's not the case.]

What do you make of all this talk of an assessment period that we've all been under, incidentally?
no subject
What about you? What do you make of this?

A few of the Retrospec employees have spoken as though they likewise came from worlds that were destroyed.
And now they've sent a hiring manager to talk to us.
[He imagines you can sort out the rest.]

[He doesn't want to believe anyone will, but... Well, these employees had to come from somewhere.]
