It hasn't. The chimeras were only in this one particular area of the subway tunnels, and they seemed to be serving as a deterrent. They're guarding something.
[There's another photo that accompanies the words quickly enough - a simple photograph of that silver door at the end.
The city officials are all missing; that's why we're down here in the first place. My companion wanted to try to find them, or at least find answers as to their whereabouts, and we ended up here. We think it's likely that they're in this area, but we can't be sure.
I don't like it. I don't like feeling like my every action is being watched, and they've certainly done a good job of making it sound like it is. It's frustrating, really. They weren't very clear about what they were looking for in the message I received.
Am I going to have to write up a rescission argument in the event that you've all done something horrendously stupid. Is that what we're looking at here.
Quite possibly! I would say at least I'm not the only one who did something horrendously stupid, but now you've really got your work cut out for you with so many of us.
I'll be in contact with Mr. Carlisle shortly; I'll see if I can sort anything out from what he tells me. Fortunately enough, "you never asked" isn't a particularly strong legal argument, and I can argue for rescission of contract if needs be.
I had a few questions to ask him, anyway. We'll see how those go as well, I suppose.
About as well as can be expected, I'd think. We explored up a mountain pass today in search of wolves, but instead we found an icy monster. We killed it, of course! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of it.

With that said, how are you doing? I trust the city hasn't burned down in our absence?
[Like. He wouldn't be surprised given Retrospec, but hopefully that's not the case.]

What do you make of all this talk of an assessment period that we've all been under, incidentally?

What about you? What do you make of this?

A few of the Retrospec employees have spoken as though they likewise came from worlds that were destroyed.
And now they've sent a hiring manager to talk to us.
[He imagines you can sort out the rest.]

[He doesn't want to believe anyone will, but... Well, these employees had to come from somewhere.]

Please tell me you asked for the terms.

Unfortunately I forgot to ask for clarification!

Until then, I hate this entire godforsaken company.

Do try not to do anything terribly stupid in the interim.

Only joking, of course.
