Honestly, I almost thought you would have come up with a more solid argument than what you've presented - all it boils down to is the notion that he's more dependable than you, which I assumed was a given, and I trust him more than anyone else here, which is likewise something I thought we were all assuming.
Since that conversation between Raven and I has apparently been occupying space in your mind... I assume that he didn't tell you that I said nothing would come of it either way, as anything else would be inappropriate and otherwise out of the question. The original comment was somewhat flattering simply because no one speaks to me that way, and it was nice to experience it. That's all.
