[You know, he probably shouldn't find that as morbidly entertaining as he does. Good fucking god.]
He has yet to say anything about the one that was allegedly granted. One would think that he would have, if he wants this to retain any shred of believability.
That's the part I don't get. This entire setup relies on us believing him, when all he's done is show that he isn't to be trusted. Unless you truly have no other options, why would you risk everything and believe he'll be true to his word in the first place?
Desperation is one of the few things that make sense, but even if you technically win, it isn't as though you're let go to return to whatever it was you were doing before.
I wonder why exactly that is... It just makes the whole thing sound even more unbelievable, and Hamelin must know that. Well, I suppose we'll see what happens now that someone's managed it.
He did say that he won't disclose who got away with it, if any of us manage. Which I admit I'm also unsure about, with regards to the reasoning. I suppose disclosing those who win his little game would make it open season on them among those of us who were left, but that would be to his benefit - he wouldn't have to prove whether he can grant wishes one way or another if those who earn them die.
It would make much more sense for him to tell us exactly who did it. It would paint a target on them by those who want to see justice done or whatnot. It just doesn't add up.
Perhaps there's more to all of this than we've been thinking, but it's a bit too early to tell for sure, I suppose.
...Given the notes that were found, it's safe to say that there's something else happening that we're not entirely privy to, though far be it from me to assume what.
It's something to take into consideration, at the very least.
Either way, it may likewise be something to be careful with - I can't imagine any outside interference going over well with Hamelin, and I would rather prefer to lose neither of you to something idiotic.

[YEAGER.]

[...it was damn hilarious using the echo houses like that, don't lie.]

Bluntly put, I imagined I wouldn't still be alive if this were your doing in the end.
[He has no concrete idea what you wished for, but he has a decent enough guess.]

Oh? Hmm, maybe.
[Like it hasn't occurred to him.]
Not that I expect Hamelin would actually grant anyone their wish, so who knows~

...No. I think it's likely that there's another entity altogether. Not Hamelin, but similar, perhaps.

What makes you so certain about that, milord?
no subject
[Not yet.]
For now, just know that it's a fairly strong belief of mine.

Understood. I would be interested in hearing more at some point, if possible, milord.
[But he's not exactly expecting it. Just something to keep in mind, he supposes.]

[Yeager, for god's sake, he'll tell you.]
You haven't received any particularly odd correspondence, have you?
