So that entire mess with Raven implying he'd sleep with you, but only if you're a woman, and you being flattered by the idea that greatly confused him is really just a massive misunderstanding and absolutely not a sign of anything else.
Possibly...? I don't claim to understand what goes through the heads of my subordinates, as long as they do their job. Why would you assume interest on my part?
One: the way you talk to him. Anyone who has paid any bit of attention to the two of you at any gathering would have to be blind to miss it. You seem very emotionless most of the time, but certainly not while talking with Raven.
Two: you trust him. That much is also clear, if one knows where to look! You did accept food from him at the party - and only him. I wouldn't be surprised if he brings you food at other points just to ensure that you're eating, since I doubt you'll ever eat much at our gatherings.
Three: you rely on him. I'm sure I don't need to point that one out, milord. We're both here, and yet you've more or less left me to do whatever I want, with the only orders you've given me being things I was planning to do anyway. He's always been far more useful to you and I'm certain that hasn't changed at all here and now, when he's also the most familiar person here.
Four: he got you to drink. Milord, if you'll pardon my bluntness, I thought such a thing was impossible! When he told me he managed it, I couldn't believe him. And then he managed it again! Why, he even succeeded at getting you to play games with the rest of us, which was also something I never would have imagined! I sincerely doubt anyone else could have gotten away with that, and you would have shut me down with the flattest look ever had I tried it.
Five: once again, do pardon the bluntless, milord, but I've seen the way you look at him.
[...........okay that last one he made up but he says it with such certainty that surely it's just as legit as all the others!! He also delivers it flatly, like it's just the most obvious damn thing in the world, like... the rest of these points, actually!!]
[To his credit he'll actually listen to all of that, and while his expression flickers somewhat, he doesn't seem like he's having a crisis or anything; years of not being a person in front of the Council has served him well.]
I certainly don't look at him any differently than I look at anyone else here.
[He has next to no romantic experience...at all, but he is very much aware of Suga and c-ta doing nothing but going all gooey-eyed at each other and he finds it somewhat repulsive.]
Honestly, I almost thought you would have come up with a more solid argument than what you've presented - all it boils down to is the notion that he's more dependable than you, which I assumed was a given, and I trust him more than anyone else here, which is likewise something I thought we were all assuming.
Since that conversation between Raven and I has apparently been occupying space in your mind... I assume that he didn't tell you that I said nothing would come of it either way, as anything else would be inappropriate and otherwise out of the question. The original comment was somewhat flattering simply because no one speaks to me that way, and it was nice to experience it. That's all.
[His existence kind of sucks, Yeager. But, y'know, he got told he's fuckable and that was nice, or something.
Granted, given this massive list you gave him had the general theme of "shit he tolerates from Raven and no one else", he kind of has to wonder if he'd find that flattering from anyone else. Would he?

So are you interested in Raven, milord?
[WITH ALL THE SUBTLETY OF A SCYTHE TO THE FACE, APPARENTLY]
no subject
Really?]
No, and I certainly don't believe that he told you that I am.

Do you want me to list all the reasons why, milord.
[He is deadly serious. Have you ever seen an expression this serious on Yeager before??]

Very well, milord. You certainly would know better than me, and if you're going to insist there's nothing there, then I suppose there truly isn't.

Well. Noted. He seemed disturbed it even happened at all, so no, he didn't mention that part. I suppose he isn't interested either.
[Booooooring.......]

...God, now he's thinking about it.]
It was nothing to be disturbed over.
no subject
You'd have to tell him that! Though I did agree it was quite disturbing.
[oh my god.]
no subject
I'm not surprised to hear that from you.
no subject
Of course, milord. I'm sure you wouldn't have it any other way~
no subject
I wouldn't, actually.
[...or he'll just. pretty much confirm it right there for you, that works too.]

[sorry, what was that?? that was a dare right???]
