[So in light of recent events, Yeager needs to talk to a certain protag. Duke has told him everything so his opinion on Yuri has shifted from "the guy who kept ruining my plans" to "okay well I guess he's going to save the world so he's probably fine". He's not sure how much Duke told Yuri about what will happen in the future, but he's not planning on discussing that.

After all, they've got something a little more pressing they're facing right now.

Yuri will find a note shoved under his door written in Yeager's elegant handwriting. It's not signed, but there is a tiny doodle of the Leviathan's Claw symbol, which should probably say enough.]

I have something I need to discuss with you. Please meet me in room #230 as soon as possible.

Precisely. And that's why I called you here, actually.

[He absently flicks his bangs out of his face while he considers how to word it.]

I'm not asking you to like me or trust me. After everything that's happened back home, I doubt you could do either. But I am asking you to work with me for a little bit. You want out of here as badly as I do, I'm sure, and we stand a higher chance if we're working together.

I gain nothing if I stab you in the back. I'd actually prefer to keep you alive so you can rejoin your friends and save the world.

[UGH THAT SOUNDS SO GROSS TO ADMIT ALOUD...]

For now what I'm working on is merely an alliance against this experiment. You do want to end this as quickly as possible, don't you?

[ WOW YEAGER. Yuri would never have imagined to have heard you say those words out loud. It's actually kind of awkward and weird.

For now, nothing. I want you to sit tight while I work something out. There are others I'm working with and others I'd like to get on board, but you understand how dangerous this could be, ja? Should anyone blab about this we could all be in trouble.

[He shakes his head after that, but he's smirking.]

I know you won't have any problems keeping a secret. All I ask is for your word that you will assist me. I'm done playing games, Yuri. I have something very important I need to do when I get home and I can't afford to waste any more time here. With that said, I'm not a rash man and I won't put us in a bad situation if I can help it.

I'm not really a fan of sitting tight. But if you don't have everything worked out I don't have a choice, do I.

[ he'll "sit tight" for the time being ]

You have my word. I have important things to do myself. And if you're done playing your games then I guess this is something I could back you up on.

I'm pleased to hear it. I really do appreciate your cooperation, Yuri. You don't have to believe that, of course, but I do mean it.

[He shrugs a bit once that's out there.]

I'll be in contact with you once I have solidified everything on my end. Just stay alive, ja?

[And that's nearly teasing, like he doesn't expect Yuri to die. SO YOU'D BETTER NOT.]

[ not really. if he didn't already believe it to an extent he wouldn't have agreed with this. ]

[ since this plan can't go ahead if you die either yeager!! and you were already a suspect so don't let that happen again ]

[Yeager rests his hand on his chest for a moment and his expression goes dark very quickly.]

Don't worry about me. I know better than to allow anything to happen now.

[It would be stupid to die before he's accomplished anything here.

But then he snaps back to normal, like that didn't just happen.]
