That man's name was William Birkin. He was two years younger than I was. We met when he was sixteen and I was eighteen, at some sort of training facility.

I don't know what he was doing in the same sort of program I was in, particularly at such a young age. I don't believe he was raised by the old man in the same way I was, seeing as he would have the same surname if that was the case. We were introduced by whatever corporation we were working under at the time, and we were informed that we would be working together from then on, and serve as some sort of reasonably close companionship if necessary.
